The Woodshed
Being fortunate to have a sabbatical post-corporate life, and through a period of intense transition and transformation, I spent the six months through early 2025 in the woodshed, getting deep in every aspect of AI.
The wood shed is where Jazz musicians go to practice their craft, and learn new hard passages.
In part because I had to. I moved from leading a team of 300+ in a large $100B market cap company, to being a team of... well me, so needed help.
But the primary motivation is being an early adopter and a curious fan of technology. And with a lot of life admin outstanding after all the travel, there was a lot to do where I didn't have the tools, time or knowledge to get through the backlog.
So, with the practitioner view of sharing deeds vs. platitudes, here are just a few of the things I've been up to.
